Void

The Void is the space outside of the Universe. It acts a way for the universe to recycle souls to be reused on newer Reality, leaving bodies behind to become Shades. This space is full of the corpses of disposed and collapsed Realities.

Reduce, Re-use, Recycle

When a person or creature falls into the void, they have only 5 minutes before their Soul is wiped clean. This process slowly whittles away at the person, slowly eating away at the soul till no form of identity is left. Once the process finishes the soul is returned to the universe to be re-used, leaving the body behind. Body's become unstable without a soul to hold them together, causing it to become malleable and hostile to those around them. The body's left behind are called Shades.

Shades

Shades are the bodies left behind by those who have been recycled for the universe. These shades come in many types, but they each can fall into a single category based on how long they've been in the Void and how many other shades have merged together

Image

A Image is the body shortly after losing its soul. These appear as Silhouettes of the person they once were, generally they are Non-hostile and do not engage with anything, almost as if they are in a state of shellshock. These are the weakest form and are composed of usually 1 or 2 Shades merged together.

Composite

This is when multiple shades have merged together, but are seemly working against each other. This mass is usually in an intense rage and will attack anything nearby. These creatures are hostile to both Shades and the Living, lashing out and attempting to consume anything nearby.

Conglomerate

This is a Composite but the shades that compose it have began working together. These monsters are usually a bit larger and will be made of multiple parts working as one. These creatures will gladly kill anything near them, and merge their flesh into the mass.

Amalgamation

Given the alternate Nickname of World Eaters, These large massive creatures are nothing more than worms, eating away at the planets they reside on. After enough eating they will leave their planet attempting to find more material to eat. These Large creatures are nearly impossible to fight, and its recommended that only experienced Raiders attempt to face one. Luckily these are found pretty far out in the Void.
