History

Early Life

Mota was born to Kieva-Cik and Tula-krilta, both who are employed by Molkot and Son. Mota grew up in a small middle class neighborhood on a planet owned by the company. Her childhood was mostly uneventful, baring the trips the family would sometime take to recruitment drives for Molkot and Son. During these trips Mota would witness people protesting Molkot and Son, usually near the recruitment drive though some would get a bit to close for comfort. Mota would become under closer watch by her parents when she accidentally followed a protestor out of the area, mistaking him for one of the guards setup by M&S. After this specific event her family would learn she simply cannot distinguish people apart from each other, with doctors believing she has a form of Prosopagnosia[1].

The protestors from her childhood would stick around in her head growing up. She would spend some nights looking into the company her parents work for, wondering why there was always some backlash to the company. During these nights she would learn about the terrible things M&S had done, when asking her parents about it, they would either deny or claim she 'has heard some false rumors' and that she needed to stop believing everything she reads on the intranet. Over time she began to believe her parents over the things she read, and stop looking into them. Though a part of her still wondered if they were true.

College and Pre-Employement

Leaving high school Mota would head to college for a degree in Artificial Intelligence due to her interest in the AI used on stations and around the town she lived in. During her time at college Mota started her random nightly trips down the rabbit hole of M&S, started one night when she remembered some silly story she read back in middle school. Became something she was worried about as she learned some of the things she read when she was younger were true. This lead to a renewed distrust for M&S, causing her to avoid most of their products for some time.

Leaving College she would attempt to get a job away from the company, though found she couldn't really get any response back from any other company besides M&S. With her financial situation becoming a bit dire. She gave in and signed up for a job at M&S. She was accepted but instead of the planet side job she signed up for, Mota was placed on a station deep in space.

Molkot and Son Employee

Mota wasn't a fan of the station life, it was always a bit to cold for her, and the people weren't the best. While she met some alright people, the environment in the Research department was more cutthroat that she personally wanted. Backstabbing isn't uncommon on M&S stations, as scientist will gladly steal the work of another to get ahead, Something Mota would personally experience when her work on station AIs would be stolen. After the 4th paper stolen she simply stopped posting any, only working on jobs she was specifically put on.

Shiska Chauvin and the Cult

During her time there, Mota would meet Shiska Chauvin, a Company spy, their first meeting was him simply needing into the robotics lab for some things. Something he easily got when Mota mistook him for someone else. Their later meeting had Shiska worried when she recognized him even though he was wearing a different disguise. Due to her disability she has grown use to finding something other than their face to identify them, in the case of Shiska it was a scar on his right hand from an old Mag Blade accident. At first he was genuinely worried. Thinking he might need to take her out incase it was used against him, but then he had an idea. Looking into her records he learned she was labelled as "Skeptical" of the company. A label used to specify someone has a clear distrust in the company, and is usually the kind of person The Company looks for on stations when deploying spies. After learning this Shiska would slowly befriend Mota, with an end goal of getting her hired at The Company.

From Mota's perspective, she was making a new friend, someone who shared her own distrust in M&S. Helping them with seemingly minor things while getting a good chance to vent her frustrations of her current job. Shiska's true identity would be revealed when he came in needing Mota to tell security he had been helping her all shift. There was a moment where she considered telling the truth, thinking it might net her a better job. she couldn't do it, and instead told them Shiska had been with her all shift. They tried to get her to admit she might have been wrong, but she kept to her story. When Security left to ask the AI, it confirmed the camera has been damaged earlier and engineering had not gotten around to fixing it yet.

In Robotics Shiska would tell Mota the truth, he was a Company Spy and he needed to steal some data off the Research lab server, all he needed was to be let into science. She agree'd and let him into the main section of science. He would return later through the stations Maintenance halls with the drive containing the data thrown into space with a tracker for retrieval later.

Mota would continue to help Shiska in minor ways, and in turn he would help her during her shift. All this would come to an end when a crew-mate had lost his mind to the Cult of the Lightless. He would begin converting others on the station, including Mota, with the end goal being to Summon Gilrin so he can achieve his goal of removing another star from the galay.

Before they could begin the ritual, security did a push onto the cults hidden area. During the Chaos Shiska dragged Mota out of the area and De-converted her. Once De-converted Shiska told her they needed to leave. With him believing security wouldn't be able to stop the cult, they both headed to escape pods to leave the station. As the shuttle flew into deep space, Gilrin appeared over the station, making his way to the nearby start and absorbing it.

The pod would be picked up by a commandeered shuttle recovery ship, while aboard Ted, the pilot of the ship convinced Mota to return to M&S. Stating there was a station the company was sending their former cultist to. At first she didn't agree, worried this would lead to her becoming a cultist again. But Ted informed her that the station was ready to handle any re-converted cultist. Mota agree'd and the shuttle returned her to the local M&S Central station. She was placed to work on the Barostratus, a station that was specifically working on some form of teleportation tech.

Death and Cloning

While aboard the Barostratus, Mota encountered more of the same issues of her old station. Backstabbing and cutthroat research, this time she only did minimal work. Knowing she wouldn't be on the station long since The Company would be sending people in to both retrieve her, and to do something to the station, she wasn't sure but it didn't really matter. In her short time as an employee Mota was tired of M&S and was just glad to get away. About a month after being placed on the station, Shiska would make contact with her. Confirming the plan with her and giving her an encryption key for her to listen in on the channel Shiska and another spy would be on while they worked. While the two worked on their jobs, Mota layed low, doing her job and just listening it. The job the two spies were working on went south when the other spy was discovered. In a panic the spy ran into the AI's law upload and uploaded a law telling the AI to kill all Non-Company crewmates. The AI did just that, having no way to tell who was apart of the company or not, so it started with the crewmate in its law Upload.

Shiska would tell Mota to head to Dorms the nearest escape pod, since the entire job had gone south. The AI acted quick on its purge, releasing flammable gas into the air, and tellings its borgs to light the whole station of fire. Mota would escape through maintenance to the nearest escape pods, which for her was in the crew dorms. She would make her way to dorms when she is stopped by an Engineering Cyborg. She tried to defend herself, but the Cyborg won, Beating Mota nearly to death, only stopped by Shiska once he reached dorms. The last thing Mota would remember is hearing a loud crack, and someone talking. Officially she died moments after the station activated its experimental teleporter, sending the entire station into the Void.

When the station arrived in the void, alarms went off at the Void Raiders main facility. Those who already had portals ready were told to teleport to the newest collapse. Those who did found themselves on a burning station full of mad Cyborgs. Out of the crew of 100 employees, only 5 were recorded to survive. In dorms Magnolia Ziemia would arrive to find a Shiska and a now Dead Mota. Mag noticed that Mota was only recently dead, meaning it was still possible to clone her, and offered to do just that. Quickly bringing the body and Shiska out of the Void and into Kol-No. Mag would explain her plan to Shiska while transplanting Mota's soul to a temporary container. They would both leave the main Facility and head to Mag's home where she would grow the new body in private.

Mota would wake up 2 weeks later in the hospital, being told that she was severely injured but luckily Mag arrived just in time to prevent her from dying. Shiska would explain everything that happened in the two weeks she was unconscious. During this time Shiska would talk about his plan to return home, feeling he needed to get back to his job, He offers bring Mota with it. Mota isn't sure at first, deciding to wait a bit before heading back. Both agree'd to make there choice in One Month.

Life in Kol-No

Mota and Shiska would both agree to rent an apartment out, that way if either of them consider staying in Kol-No they would already have a home. During this time Mota would spend her nights learning more about the Universe Kol-No resides in. Most of her research is into Artificial intelligence and the androids she had seen on the way to her temporary home. This research mixed with Mota making friends with Gin'Si a Garm who runs "The Ohm" a electronic shop in Kol-No would cause her to decide to stay in Kol-No. Shiska would also decide to stay, finding it hard to go back when looking at Garn's laws on worker protection, that with the more interesting security setup. Both would temporary go back to get some things from their homes. Mota would return to her apartment, a place she rented incase she was ever fired, and get her clothes and computer.

Mota would get a job at "The Ohm", helping with repairs and working the register. At some point Shiska would ask her to be ready at a portal, telling her to 'rescue a friend if things go bad'. When things do indeed go bad, she activated her portal and rescued Chunka Ruk from the collapse of his home. The two would become close friends from that point forward.

The Captain

2 Years after the Barostratus, Molkot and Son would finish the teleporter tech that was being developed there, and find their way into the same universe Mota and Shiska would now call their home. During some probes around the Infospheres, they would find some references of their tech. With a few of their machines finally calling home. They would send out high ranked employees to a couple systems to investigate these references, with the clone of the Barostratus's Captain being sent to Kol-No.
